The XALI blanket combines massage and PEMF in one solution that can form part of a horse’s daily care and wellbeing routine. The massage provides mechanical stimulation of the muscles, while the PEMF function delivers pulsed electromagnetic fields through coils built into the blanket.
PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields. The technology works by sending electrical pulses through the coils, creating a magnetic field that repeatedly switches on and off. This field can pass through fabric and into the body’s tissues without direct contact with the skin. PEMF therefore differs from massage: massage acts on the body mechanically, while PEMF delivers electromagnetic pulses.
The technology is used with the aim of supporting the body’s natural processes, although specific effects depend on factors such as the equipment’s settings and how it is used.
The blanket is designed with the horse’s comfort in mind, with its fit, materials and component placement allowing for freedom of movement. It can be used on its own or combined with a neck piece to cover a larger area of the body. The system can also be taken apart so that the textile components can be washed and kept clean during regular use in the stable.
